Pula students from April 16-25, 2026 organize the fourth - Humanitarian student week. The Student Week is an event organized by the Student Council of the University of Pula since 2023 and co-organised by the Pula Network of Students and a number of student associations operating at the Juraj Dobrila University in Pula since 2025. During the Week, students from Pula organize a series of fun and educational events where they raise funds that they donate to associations and institutions dealing with some kind of humanitarian and socio-useful work.
This year we are collecting for: School of Education Pula, Association of the Deaf and Hearingless of Istria County, Association for Autism of Istria, Association AJA and Association for Animal Protection "Fido".
The aim of the Humanitarian Student Week is to foster solidarity, social responsibility and volunteerism among students, as well as to strengthen cooperation between academia and the local community. The program promotes humanitarian values, togetherness and empathy through a series of fun, educational and cultural activities that raise funds and help for those who need it most. The purpose of the program is to motivate young people to actively participate in social initiatives and create positive changes in the community through a combination of entertainment, education and humanitarian action. The event encourages the development of responsible citizenship, interconnection and community empowerment, thus contributing to the building of cultural solidarity and humanity among young people.
The project is funded by the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, the Student Centre Pula, the Student Council of the University of Pula, the Pula Student Network and the Tourist Board of the City of Pula.
